Home births had always been the most appealing option for me. I loved the idea of being in the comfort of my own home, surrounded by people whom I felt fully supported by and truly experiencing the miracle of giving birth. Sierra made that idea a reality!  

As a new mom-to-be, I was nervous and had a million questions. Sierra was kind and listened to all my concerns.  After meeting her for the first time, I immediately trusted her and felt confident that both my baby and me would be in good hands. 

I looked forward to every visit we had.  She spoke to my baby with such a gentle and loving tone as she felt her position in my belly. I could tell she genuinely cares about every mother and baby she works with. 

On the day Kara was born, Sierra’s gentle yet clear indications made everything go smoothly. She guided me through the birth, reminding me to take deep breaths and cheering me on as I pushed. My husband was by my side through it all, holding my hand and encouraging me. The peace that we felt knowing Sierra had everything under control allowed us to share that special moment before our baby girl made her grand entrance into our lives. 

After a few more minutes I finally had Kara safely in my arms!! My husband and I were able to take the time to meet her. We didn’t have to worry about anything else other than soaking in the fact that we were parents! Sierra and her birth assistant, Holly, took care of everything else.  I had two small tears while giving birth, but Sierra took care of me and stitched me right up. They left our bedroom exactly how it was when they first arrived. They made sure I stayed hydrated and had something to eat. They truly let us enjoy our first moments with our daughter. 

Sierra goes the extra mile.  Even after giving birth, I continued to look forward to seeing her for postpartum visits.  She checked on me physically as well as emotionally which is equally as important, especially for a new mom who is trying to get the hang of things! I felt complete coverage with the care that Sierra provided for my whole family.  If and when Kara become a big sister, Sierra will definitely be receiving a call from me, asking her to be my midwife again. Thank you, Sierra, for making my birth experience such a beautiful and memorable one!
